Author: Coach J

When asked what makes her a successful coach, Julieta replied, "It's all about building trust and healthy relationships. Good coaches usually have strong communication skills, a great eye and an ability to motivate. We use Flightscope and V-1 Video analysis to help people understand their swing but you still have to listen to your students to make sure you are helping them build confidence and keeping them moving toward their goals. Good mechanics are only a part of what helps golfers improve. You need a comprehensive approach in order to be a truly great coach." Julieta coducts Mental Golf Seminars and uses FocusBand(headset designed to provide neurofeedback in realtime) to help students stay calm, develop focus and learn to "get in the zone" in order to play at their best. She is also a TPI Certified Trainer and started a Yoga for Golfers class at Pine Ridge in the off season that is taught by Jann Seff, a certified Iyangar Yoga Instructor. Coaching junior golfers is one of Julieta's special gifts. She has grown the junior camps and clinics at Pine Ridge into the focal point of summer activity for countless juniors. Julieta believes the key ingredient in the success of the program is that the coaching staff is passionate about sharing their knowledge and love for the game and make sure individuals are challenged according to their abilities. Julieta founded InnerDrive Golf for the purpose of arranging international trips for her students. She has led groups of golfers to Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, Argentina, Portugal, Canada, and Italy over the past 16 years. Regional trips in the US have included Pinehurst, Williamsburg, Gettysburg and Richmond.
